blu scout from TF2

The new year has arrived, and I have told myself that I need to update my blog on a regular basis. So, I will start today!
The new year has brought a lot of resolutions for me, one of which is doing a juice cleanse for 60 days. I will starting this tomorrow, and I am beyoooond excited to get healthy!! I am going to track my journey on another blog of mine, that I will post a link to at a later date!
But... Back to the subject of this post, I was asked to make a crochet version of the Blu Scout from Team Fortress 2 for a Christmas comission. I was so anxious to start this project since I've been mainly making hats in the recent months.
I based him on a doll I found online but made the pattern up by myself. I was shocked by how easy he worked up, and I was extremely proud of him!

hey guys! im so sorry i haven't posted in such a long while, that's because business is picking up, which is SO exciting to me!

this is all due to some amazing photographers that have been helping me out by taking pictures of my hats for me. Alicia Marie's Photography and SamLeonard Photography.

I can't wait to work with them again in the near future!!

ninja turtles!!

I had an idea pop into my head recently, I thought Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!! So I absolutely had to make a newborn hat for each turtle. I absolutely adooore these hats! I wish I could get them shot with a group of babies in each color!! I'm going to be making the same hats in adult sizes next, which is more exciting because I'll get to wear one!

it's been too long...

goodness! i feel like i haven't written in forever but thats because i've been busy. with what? i've been making baby hats!! i just donated a load of newborn hats to
alex michele photography  (alexmichelephotography.com) for her latest photography workshop in orlando!! i'm so excited about it and i also learned that i looooove making baby hats!

i also got my business cards in!! woohoo! :D

isaac clarke (dead space)

a friend of mine's birthday is next week and he loves the game dead space, so i wanted to make him an isaac clarke doll. it's the first thing ive made with any sort of hair and i love it!!!

he comes complete with a removable mask, and i am trying to figure out how to make a plasma cutter also but i don't know if i'll have enough time.

i hope that he enjoys him as much i do, because i'm really not looking forward to letting him go.

guess what!! i am officially finished with my nephews birthday present.
they actually turned out pretty well, better than i anticipated.

for the facial features, i used this pattern.

i can't wait to see the look on his face when he sees these little guys,
hopefully its a smile haha :)

in the meantime...

i'm working on a couple of projects right now. one is a birthday present for my nephew's 4th birthday

well, he is obsessed with mario and luigi so i'm making him two small mario and luigi dolls, this is what i have so far....

hopefully ill be able to finish these in the next day or two, and get to start on another birthday present :)
